Lawrence Joseph Lopez
April 20, 1940 - January 11, 2018

Born in Omaha, Nebraska, the family moved to San Leandro, CA in 1942. In 1954, the family moved full-time to their summer cabin in Ben Lomond where Larry spent his childhood riding his horse with his sister Madeline throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains. Attended schools in Boulder Creek and San Lorenzo Valley High. Joined the Navy in 1959, as a dental technician where at a summer dance he met his wife to be, Beverly K. Bunner. They resided in Ben Lomond and Soquel with their three children, Richard, Talita and Jeffrey. Larry's profession included working at Roy's Market and Ben Lomond Super Market. In 1969, Larry experienced a near fatal jeep accident and became partially paralyzed. Against all odds; Larry lead a productive life as a farmer, wood worker and restorer of classic cars, trucks and tractors after they moved to the CA central valley. Larry is survived by his three children, six grandchildren, his sister Madeline, his brother Frank and his loyal cat Lolli. Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife Beverly, his mother Claire, father Al and two brothers, Bill and Glen.

Larry will always be remembered for his positive attitude, fun-loving nature and fabulous smile.
A special thanks to family, close friends and neighbors for their compassionate presence and support as well as the VA and Bristol Hospice caregivers.

A funeral service and reception will be held on Friday, January 26th at 10:00am at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias in Turlock, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local SPCA.
