Lawrence (Larry) Paul Burnham, 82 Yrs. old of Roswell, Georgia passed away on November 18, 2017 peacefully at his home with family members after a long battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis

Born in Pittsfield MA on June 26, 1935, Larry served in the Army from Sept. 1956 to Aug. 1962 and was part of the 82 Airborne Division.

When returning back to Massachusetts he worked at Texon Paper Mill, then became the owner of the Coltsville Shell Station. He and his wife Jean moved to Worthington, Ma where he was the proprietor of the restaurant section at the Worthington Country Club. Larry later moved to Roswell, GA with his wife Jean. In Roswell, GA he worked for Pulte Homes and later had his own business doing Home Repairs and Inspections until retiring. He enjoyed a good steak, preferably filet mignon, and a scotch on the rocks. He also enjoyed cooking which he was very good at.

He leaves behind his wife and love of his life Jean of Cumming GA; His sons Larry Burnham of Lee, Lance Burnham of Pittsfield and Daughter Lisa Burnham of Pittsfield as well as Stepsons; Bob Monti of Luling, LA and Peter Monti of Cumming, GA and Step Daughter Diane Crandall of Roswell, GA. He also leaves his brother George (Bucky) Burnham of Henderson, TN and Sisters Nancy Engwer of Chester, MA, Marjorie Florence of Searsburg, VT and Beverly Wiley of Washington, MA.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Dorothy (Leighton) Burnham, brother Bruce of Grovetown, GA and granddaughter Chelsea Burnham of Pittsfield, MA.

Larry's wishes were to be cremated and to be placed at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, GA. A memorial service will be planned by the family for a December date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association.
