Lazar Castro " Atoy" Castanares, 61, of Kaaawa, died February 10, 2011 at Crawford Convalescent Home in Haleiwa. He was born in Manila, Philippines. He is survived by brothers, Jesse, Oscar, Cesar and Luis Jr.; sisters, Joan Monforte, Sarah Aballe, Elaine Balmonte, Liza Lee, Cosette Marzan and Christine Reyes; nieces and nephews. Visitation 8:30 a.m. Saturday, February 19th at Borthwick Mortuary Mauka Chapel; services: 9:00 a.m.; burial 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 8th at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
