Leah R. (Morrow) Collyer, 67, of Windsor, beloved wife for 46 years to W. Leonard Collyer, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at her home. Born in Philadelphia, PA she was raised there and moved to Windsor 34 years ago. Leah was employed by the FDIC and had been a volunteer for both Meals on Wheels and at Windsor nursing homes. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel Church, Windsor. Besides her husband, Len , she leaves two sons Michael Collyer and his wife Jen of Cleveland Heights, OH and Rich Collyer and his wife Rosa of Windsor; a daughter Christine Coyne and her husband Shawn of Windsor; eight grandchildren Rachael, Kathryn, Ava, Mackenzie, Peyton, Chase, Delaney, and Abigail; two sisters Denise McEvoy of South Windsor and Patricia Broome of Northfield, NJ; three nephews Kevin McEvoy, Buddy Broome and Christopher Broome, and a niece Kelly McEvoy. She was predeceased by a sister Geraldine Clem. Her family will receive friends Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor. Family and friends may gather Wednesday, March 6, 2013 9 AM at Carmon's followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad Street, Windsor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
