Born September 7th, 1930, in Tarentum, Pa. Son of Marjorie Owens Duncan and J. Earle Duncan. Twin Brother of James Owens Duncan.

Family: Wonderful husband to his Loving Wife of 59-plus years, June Sprecher Duncan. Proud and caring father to Susan Duncan Poniatowski, Marjorie Duncan Bruno and James Lee Duncan. Father-in-law to Gregory V. Poniatowski, Robert Bruno and Laurie Lindgren Duncan.

Most caring and supportive grandfather of Stephanie Poniatowski Blandina, Michael Gregory Poniatowski, Eric Wesley Hein (Son of Marjorie Duncan Bruno), Leanne Patricia Duncan and Kyle James Duncan.

Education: Harbrack High, Natrona Heights, Pa. Class of 1948. Penn State University, Class of 1953 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Member of Theta Xi Social Fraternity. Pi Tau Sigma Mechanical Engineering Society and the American Foundry Society. Masters of Physics from Franklin & Marshall College.

Military Service: Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army. Stationed at White Sands Proving Ground, New Mexico.

Professional Work History: Mechanical Engineer and Engineering Supervisor with AT&T Technologies, Retired after 31 years.

Church and Service Organizations: Served as a Deacon at Holy Cross Methodist Church, Reading, Pa., and St. John's United Church of Christ, now St. John's Reformed Church, Sinking Spring, Pa.

Whitfield Lions Club: President. President of the Sinking Spring Borough Planning Commission. Stone Harbor Yacht Club Proprietary Member. Served on the board of trustees. Member of Zembo Temple Shrine and a 60 year member of Mt. Olivet Lodge, #704 F. & A.M., Harrisburg Consistory.

Personal interests: Lee was an avid reader. He enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, snow skiing, spending summers and sailing his Sunfish competitively in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, and spending winters in Naples, Florida. His greatest enjoyment was attending Penn State Football games with his wife, June, while tailgating with his RV and enjoying the game day experience with his wife, kids, grandkids and many friends for over 41 years. He always looked forward to his daily ritual of taking a walk with his wife to get the newspaper and then doing the daily Sudoku challenges. When he was in town, he looked forward to the Friday lunches with his fellow AT&T Technologies Engineers at the YR Club.

Lee ascended into the hands of the Lord on April 4th, 2017, after succumbing to Pneumonia at Naples Community Hospital in Naples, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Children's Organ Transplant Association in honor of Lee 's grandson, Eric. Donations may be made online at COTAforEricH.com or mailed to COTA, 2501 West COTA Drive, Bloomington, IN 47403 notated "In memory of Lee Duncan."

Services will be Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Road, Reading. Burial to follow in Forrest Hills Memorial Park. A Gathering will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
