Lelia Faye "Lee" Barron, 92, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Landmark Nursing and Rehab Center in Booneville, MS. She was born in Prentiss County on April 21, 1925, the daughter of Lunsford and Minnie Houston. Lee graduated from Wheeler High School as Salutatorian in 1943. She later completed a two-year program at Draughon's Business College in Memphis, TN.

Lee was Booneville Elementary School's librarian/principal's assistant from 1965-1983. She enjoyed being an active member of First Baptist Church and devoted herself to her family and friends.

Lee is survived by her sons Larry Barron (Dorothy) of Juno Beach, FL and David Barron (Susan) of Marble Hill, GA; daughter Nancy Braswell of Rocky Mount, NC; grandchildren, LeighAnne Kruse of Juno Beach, FL, Justin Barron of Chicago, IL, Christopher Barron of Treasure Island, FL, Patrick Barron (Kathleen) of Dunwoody, GA, Maggie Moses (Taylor) of Seattle, WA, Jordan
Braswell of Rocky Mount, NC; great-granddaughter Lauren Kruse of Juno Beach, FL, and sister Carolyn Montgomery of Jackson, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Britt Barron; her brothers Fred L. Houston, Harlis Houston, R.G. Houston, and Herschal Houston; sisters, Myrtle H. Stephens, Trecia H. Cartwright, Earline Murdock Dysart, Syble Moore Tollison, and Ila H. Wilmoth.

The family wishes to thank all those who cared for her during her recent illness. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Booneville, MS.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 15th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Booneville First Baptist Church with the funeral service beginning at 1:00pm. Dr. Lynn Jones, former pastor at Booneville First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Booneville Cemetery.
