Leland E. Lumadue, 89, of East Claridon, died Jan. 27, 2010, at Briar Hill Health Care Residence in Middlefield.

Born Feb. 9, 1920, in Johnstown, Pa., he had been a longtime area resident.

Mr. Lumadue worked as a printer and retired from LFE in Chester Township. Prior to that, he worked for API.

Leland married Frieda Salecker April 18, 1942, in South Euclid and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He loved to golf and tinkering in the garage. His greatest love was spending time with his friends and family.

Survivors are his wife, Frieda (Salecker) Lumadue of East Claridon; daughters, Kathy (Charles) Holland of Arizona; Carol (Michael) Spice of Burton and Linda (C.) Watson of Painesville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.

Pastor Ray Mullet, Chaplin of Hospice of Care Corp., will officiate. Burial will be in Claridon Center Cemetery.
