Services for Lena Lucille Hough, 97, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2017 in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. William Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Tom Havard Cemetery in Zavalla.
Mrs. Hough was born July 14, 1920 in Angelina County, Texas, where she lived most of her life. She is the daughter of the late Hattie (Daniels) and Carrol Stanley. She passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at The Joseph House.
During World War II, she lived in Orange, Texas. She was a Class A welder. She was a clerk for the Angelina County Voting boxes in Saron. Mrs. Hough was a member of Saron Baptist Church and was Secretary/Treasurer and Sunday School Teacher for many years.
Survivors include her son, Charles Dana Hough and wife Cathy; daughter, Brenda Stringer and husband Paul; daughter, Linda Miller and husband Brian; son, Charlton Hough and wife Brenda; son, Stevie Hough; daughter, Carla Merritt and husband David; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hough was preceded in death by her husbands, Grady Grimes and Charlie Hough; and son, Johnny Lee Hough.
Pallbearers will be Ben Merritt, Adam Merritt, Brian Miller II, Paul Stringer II, Kenny Jones, Jason Stuck, Danny Wigley, and Johnathan Wood.
Mrs. Hough's family wishes to extend special thanks to her caregivers at The Joseph House, Affinity Hospice, and Chaplain Greg Freijo for the loving care shown to her.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
