Leo passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019.

Leo was a resident of Gales Ferry, Connecticut at the time of passing.

Born the fourth of five children to William and Angela Barron in New York, N.Y., on Dec. 7, 1932, Leo attended the Good Shepherd School and Cardinal Hayes High School, before earning a bachelor's degree in business from Manhattan College in 1958.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, from August 1952 to July 1954, and had a distinguished, 25-year career in the U.S. Navy Reserve, retiring as a Commander.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday August 6th from 5-7 pm at the Byles Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames Street Groton, Connecticut. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 am Wednesday August 7th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Gales Ferry, Connecticut. Interment will follow with military honors at Gales Ferry Cemetery.
