Leona "Lee" Franklin, 73, Colorado City, passed away at her home with her loving family by her side on Friday, November 17, 2017.
She was born on June 21, 1944 in Loraine Texas to Elwood and Mable Minton Graham
Lee was a classy woman who loved anything that shined and glittered, if it had sparkle or bling you would see her wearing it. She was a woman with a Ragin-Cajun attitude so it would come to no surprise that she was a huge fan of the New Orleans Saints football team. Her favorite foods included Mexican and Cajun foods, and she would often cook up either or be seen out to one of the Mexican food restaurants in town with family or friends enjoying their company and sharing stories. In her spare time she could be seen going for drives with her husband Wayne, going out dancing, listening to country music, or watching the Saints play ball.
She is survived by her husband Wayne Jones of Colorado City, her daughters Angel Kumm and fiance Matt Workman of Dallas and Patty Seegers of Abilene, by her son Stephen Jones and by her Yorkie Lily Belle. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brittany Kumm, Brianna Kumm, Brandon Garcia, Stephanie Seegers, Nathanil Jones, Michael Jones, Andrew Jones, Giles Jones, and Britney Jo Winters, and her great grandchildren Landen Kumm, Autumn Kline, Oliver Winters, and Misa Winters. Her brothers Tommy Graham of Ft. Worth and Carl Graham of Abilene and her sister Jean Graham of Dallas also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother James Graham and sister Joyce Childs.
A funeral for Lee will be held on Wednesday, November 22nd at 2 pm in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Paul Smith officiating, interment will follow in the Loraine Cemetery.
