Leopoldo Raguine Camales, 71, originally of Oxnard, CA for over 30 years and most recently a resident of Stockton, CA died on September 23, 2017 surrounded by family. He was born on July 28, 1946 in Bataan, Mariveles, Philippines. He served twenty-two dedicated years in the United States Navy where he traveled the world as a heavy equipment operator with the Fighting Seabees. He eventually retired and settled in Oxnard, CA with his loving wife, Ligaya, and their four children. Following retirement from the military, Leo worked a variety of positions as a heavy equipment operator, laying asphalt and planting trees in the city of Thousand Oaks. He also drove public busses in Oxnard and was a Transportation Dispatcher for Point Mugu and Port Hueneme Naval Bases. A blue-collar type who loved his family, Leopoldo enjoyed family outings such as camping. He enjoyed walking his dog Wally daily, spending time with his grand kids, home projects, gardening, cooking and serving food. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ligaya Educalan; his four children, Wendell Camales (Elgie), Oliver Camales, Leopoldo Camales, Jr., Alexander Camales (Maria); two grandchildren (Justin and Jasmine); his brothers Baltazar Lozano (Elsa), Ernesto Lozano (Lorna), Ciriaco Lozano, Jr. (Annie), Mario Lozano (Lala), Robert Camales (Aida), Manny Camales (Cecil), Johnny Camales (Tina), Emil Camales (Eva), Alfredo Jr Camales (Amy), Rene (Vangie), Rolando Lozano; his sisters Merlita Escalona (Ben), Marichu Torrijos (Ding); father Alfredo Camales; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by step father Ciriaco Lozano, Sr.; mother Saturnina Lozano; sisters Dalisay Lozano, Adelaida Lozano, Josefina Lozano; and brother Armando Lozano.
