Lester B. Lingle
Age 88, a resident of Kell, IL., formerly of Mokena, IL., passed away on January 29, 2017. Beloved husband of Sandra Faye (nee Bass); loving father of Timothy L. (Amy) Lingle of Thompsonville, IL., Teddy W. (Kathy) Lingle of Manhattan, IL., and Tracey L. Lingle of New Lenox, IL.; cherished grandfather of Brandon (Kristen), Christopher (Tiffany), Jeremy (Courtney), Lucas, Krysia (Jack), Randon (fiancé Taylor), Malai (fiancé Kyle), and Kaidon; and great-grandfather of 6; dear brother of Rev. Clifford (Lacene) Lingle of Colterville, IL.; also survived by his son-in law David Perry of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kathryn Collett Perry, and grandson Staff Sargent Matthew. Lester was a United States Army Veteran. He retired from Amtrak as a Material Control Clerk and was formerly a butcher for 27 years. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 5-9 PM. Funeral service Friday, February 3, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Zion Hill Baptist building fund, 2003 Zion Hill Rd., Centralia, IL 62801 would be appreciated.
