Lillian Branecky Holubec, 87, joined her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 16, 2017. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 19th at 5PM with the Rosary beginning at 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Monday, November 20th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Msgr. John A. McCaffrey as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Lillian was a lady of strong faith with a quiet demeanor and a beautiful smile. She was born on February 4, 1930 in Flatonia, Texas. She attended Branecky School which was built upon land donated by her grandparents John and Pauline Branecky. She attended nursing school in Houston, and latered married Frank Holubec in 1954. They were married 47 years. She was a loving wife and mother who worked along with her husband managing their dairy and ranch and raising parakeets and finches. She loved nature, flowers and gardening, playing dominoes, cooking and canning. She was very well known in the community for her homemade kolaches.

She was a active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Women's Guild, KJZT Society, Age Managers, the Funeral and Meal Committee and Adoration Prayer. She also volunteered with the American Legion and VFW.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; four sisters, Agnes Hajek, Cecelia Vrana, Emma Vrana, Pauline Kiesel; and two brothers, Frank Branecky and Joe Branecky.

Lillian loved Jesus, her family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children; Linda Holubec of Bryan, Mary Ann "Pat" Moss and husband Jerry of Bryan, Frank Holubec, Jr. and wife Suzanne of McKinney, Katherine Vaughan and husband Bill of Southlake; five grandchildren; Katy Moss of College Station, Will Vaughan of Southlake, Cullen Holubec, Jensen Holubec and Colsen Holubec, all of McKinney.

We wish to thank the staff at The Med, College Station Wound Care and St. Joseph Trauma Center for their services. We are also grateful to our caregivers ; Jackie Valencia, Grecia Santos, Kim Ford, Phyllis McCurty, Helen Kissee, Sheneka Merchant, Debbie Stevener and Janet Newcomb, who provided comfort to Lillian and our family.
