Lillian Ida (Hembury) Wickman of Croton on Hudson, NY passed away peacefully, Saturday, January 6, 2018. She was 101 years old.

Born in Bronx, NY on June 5, 1916 at home, Lillian was the daughter of the late Edwin and Lillian Hembury.

She lived in the Bronx most of her life only moving to Croton-on-Hudson in 2003 to be closer to her family.

Lillian worked many decades in retail sales, retiring from Macys at the age of 87. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, making those around her laugh, playing cards, traveling, shopping and being generous to all. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Anyone who met Lil loved her and she loved everyone.

She amazed all of us by working most of her adult life, learning how to drive at the age of 68 and living independently until the age of 99.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her five siblings Frederick Hembury, Madeline Bottega, Gertrude Gonzales, Mabel Hembury and Edwin Hembury and her beloved husband of 43 years William Wickman.

Lillian is survived by her loving daughter Barbara Mayclim-Zabelicky, cherished grandchildren Scott and his wife Margie Mayclim, Dana Mayclim, Troy and his wife Eileen Mayclim, adored great grandchildren Erin, Robert, Cole, Nash and Quin, and by many loved nieces and nephews.
