Lillian Mansur Harris, born on August 10, 1926 in Houston, Texas, was surrounded by her family when she passed away on Thursday, November 23rd, at the age of 91. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Edward John Harris, parents Abe and Annie Mansur, sisters Margaret Samman and Evelyn Ashy, brother Woodrow Mansur, nephews Robert Samman and Craig Ashy. Lillian met the love of her life in 1949 in San Antonio, Texas, at a Southern Federation Lebanese convention. She was a very loving and loyal Wife, Mother, Mother-in-law, Mimi and friend to many people. She was a lady with a smile that would light up a room, and had a contagious laugh. She was sharp, witty, strong and the "rock" of the family. She was an amazing cook and the most gracious hostess at any occasion at her home. She was a friend to all who knew her. She loved trips with her family and friends (especially the "hada" girls) to Las Vegas and Lake Charles, or any destination that had a casino. Lillian worked side by side with her husband for 55 years in Manitou Springs, Colorado, at E. J. Harris Linens, Gifts and Jewelry.

Lillian has been an active member for 60 years of the L'Entesar Club and Ladies Charity Club. She was top salesperson for ads sold in the convention booklet every year that was held in Houston.

A celebration of life and luncheon with family and friends will take place on Friday, December 1st from 12 noon until 1:30 pm in the Family Life Center of St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road. A mass will be at 2 pm in the Sanctuary, followed by the burial at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Ladies Charity Club, 6450 Olympia, Houston, Texas 77057, or the charity of your choice.
