Linda Claire Morrow, 67, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2017, with her beloved family by her side. She was born on December 14, 1949 in Lewiston, ME., a daughter of the late Maurice and Charlotte (Cox) Lavoie. She was the beloved wife of Donald Morrow for the past 25 years.
Linda will be remembered as a loving, dedicated and selfless wife, mother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed singing, dining out, reading books; her favorite authors were Danielle Steele and Nora Roberts. As a young person growing up in East Hartford, she sang with the CT Opera Company at age 14 and was a very active softball player with the Greater Hartford Softball League.
Everyone who knew and loved Linda will know she made this world a brighter place with her warm demeanor and kindheartedness. She was always good to everyone, and a fierce protector of her family.
Linda will be dearly missed by her husband Don, daughters Sandra Plank of Manchester, Jacqueline Brunelle and her husband Jayson of Coventry, step daughter Heather Watkins and her husband Jeff and their children Austin and Violet of East Windsor, CT, step son Eric Morrow of Madison, CT and his children Kayla and Jaidyn Morrow of Ellington, CT, sisters Jill and her husband Ray Gagnon of Manchester, GiGi Lavoie and her husband Paul Steingiser of Glastonbury, Suzanne Lavoie Steben of Savannah, GA, niece Michelle Philopena and nephew Douglas Adil, 2 grandnieces Katelyn and Allison Philopena.
In addition to her parents, Linda is predeceased by her sister Charlene Gillespie and brother Philip Lavoie.
Friends and family are welcome to attend a period of visitation on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 10am-12pm at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford CT 06108.
