Linda Joy Farrell 1944-2015 Linda Joy Farrell was born August 8, 1944 in Allendale, Missouri to Alta Jane (Barnhart) and George Monroe Calhoon. She passed from this life and went home on March 1, 2015. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lee Farrell; brothers, Orie and Wayne Hammer, Loren, Lawrence and Jack Calhoon; sisters, Lenora and Dolly Calhoon, Naomi Whitehouse; and her beloved dog, Honey. Survivors include daughters, Heather McCallick, Lubbock, Texas; Teresa Farrell, Maryville, Missouri and Stephanie Farrell (Janice Tiffany), Lamoni, Iowa; grandchildren Kaitlyn and Alexi McCallick, Jordan, Jonathan and Jade Hughes, Kristen Gilpatrick; great grand-children Cadence Hughes and Emery Pickering; brothers, Wendell, Bill and Max Calhoon; sister, Wanda Moutray (Mike); many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Words cannot touch the depth of the kindness that Linda Farrell had in her heart. Linda had the gift of giving. Throughout her life she gave to others, sometimes when she didn't have anything left to give of her own. She was eager to find ways to help those in need, no matter how great of a disadvantage it was to her. She was an avid garage sale shopper, and enjoyed sharing her finds with those she cared about. She spent countless hours with her children and grandchildren, teaching them to read and write long before school days came along. She was dedicated to giving her family more than she ever had. The task set before Linda in this life wasn't an easy one. She possessed a strength that many of us will never in our own lives have the need to possess. In spite of her rocky path, she managed to have a sense of humor that can never be replicated. She laughed with her family, and knew how to fill a room with joy. Her laughter was one of many of her gifts to us, and her smile and the gleam in her eyes will never be forgotten. She was a beautiful, kind soul, and an animal lover. At age 9, Linda was baptized into the Community of Christ church. Memorial donations may be sent to the Allendale Cemetery, PO Box 145, Allendale, MO 64420, or to the Mission Possible Center, 318 S. Main St., Grant City, MO 64456. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Online guestbook – www.missouricremation.com
