Beloved father, brother, grandfather and friend Lindell Lebron (Lin) Dial, 90, of Salt Lake City, UT died January 12, 2015. He was born October 4, 1924 in Ziegler, IL to Lebron Troy Dial and Elvada Quillman Dial. He married Emily Carolyn Battershell, June 14, 1947. They later divorced. He married Joanne Baker, September 25, 1976.

He is survived by his daughters, Linda Byers (Terry), Diane Wolverton, Suzanne Peterson (Joe), step-daughter Martie Mathews, brother Charles Robert Dial (Eve); three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Joanne; and step-son-in-law Thomas Dunn.

Lin was a WWII Veteran who served his country as a Commissioned Officer in the US Navy. He had many interests and passions including hunting, fishing, rock hounding, gardening, sports (especially football and NASCAR racing) and travel, including two trips to Australia.

He worked as a manager at Axis Steel in Craig, CO and later worked until retirement as a Preventative Maintenance Technician at Sears in SLC, UT. He spent the last two summers working at Fort Bridger State Historic Site, WY.

Viewing will be at 11 am followed by Memorial Service at Noon on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South SLC, UT.
