Lorraine O’Brien, beloved mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and friend went home to be with the Lord on September 27, 2017. She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and moved to Florida during her early childhood years.

Lorraine attended Seabreeze High school in Daytona Beach, Florida and following grade school she attended Daytona State College. In her early adult life she worked in the fashion industry and retail management of a clothing store. Lorraine was a true diva and she had a zest for life. She was very kind natured and had the ability to brighten everyone’s day with her presence. She loved to dance and also enjoyed going to Broadway plays; she mostly favored the musicals. Lorraine liked going out to dine and to have cocktails with friends; additionally, the beach was a favorite place of tranquility. She loved traveling and spending quality time with her friends and family. She loved to laugh and she had a great sense of humor but most of all, she loved the Lord.

Once married to the late Mick O’Brien, they lived in the Orlando area and built a beautiful family. Lorraine spent many years at home raising her children. As the children grew older, she ventured into the vacation and timeshare business and worked for the Wyndham Group until health issues became priority. Lorraine spent her last years living in Lake Mary with her fiancé, Ed. As Lorraine and Ed were totally devoted to one another, they enjoyed dining, theater, music and had a love for gardening.

Lorraine will be deeply missed by all; her survivors’ include her 25 year old daughter, Chalsey O’Brien, 23 year old son, Cavan O’Brien, 14 year old daughter, Samantha Blanck, 4 year old granddaughter, Christina, her loving fiancé, Edwin Francis, mother, Katheryne Burns, sisters, Donna Schiebler and Stefanie Moss (Doug), nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and some very close friends. Proceeding in death is Lorraine’s father, Ptlm John J Burns, her paternal grandparents, John B and Elizabeth “Bessie Nana” and, her maternal grandparents, John Cheh and Katheryne Selden.

A Non-Denominational Christian Service and a Celebration of Life will be held at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel , 5000 County Road 46A Sanford Florida on Sunday, October 08, 2017 at I:00 pm.
