Lorraine Dufault, age 78, of Fall River, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Women and Infants Hospital. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Adelard and Evelyn (Martin) Dufault, she had been a longtime resident of the city.

A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1957, she worked as a bookkeeper at Salvo Machinery for over 25 years and then at Don Jestings and Sons H.V.A.C. Company in Middletown for 20 years.

Lorraine was known for her generosity and enjoyed taking trips to the Casino, playing bingo, dancing and listening to music. She also enjoyed traveling especially on cruises with her friend Jane.

She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Mello of Fall River; her loving granddaughters, Amber (Mello) Lippa and her husband Alex and Lindsay Mello; one sister, Veronica "Patsy" Sutton; nephews, Ronald, Allen, Ricky, Scott, Russell, Glenn and Kevin and nieces, Beverly, Debbie, Kimberly, Carol Ann, Donna and Karen. She was the sister of the late Gloria Benevides, Adelard, Kenneth and Russell Dufault and was the aunt of the late William, Michael and Gary.

Her Funeral will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 10:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00PM. Contributions in her honor may be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, 3800 Maple Ave., Suite 435, Dallas, TX 75219.
