Louis Franklin Pourron, 91, passed away Saturday January 13, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday January 16, 2018 at Amelia Christian Church with Rev. Lloyd Hargis and Rev. Keith DeBord officiating. Entombment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.



A veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, Mr. Pourron retired from the US Coast Guard in 1966 and retired from the US Post Office in 1984.



He is survived by his sons, Frankie Pourron and wife Trisha, Wayne Pourron, a daughter, Vi Perdue and husband Johnnie. Grandsons, Jonathan Pourron and wife Larissa; Justin Pourron and wife Debra, Lin Pourron; Chris Pourron and wife Ashley; John Perdue and wife Susan; Thomas Perdue and wife Amy; granddaughter, Christina Pleasant and husband Kyle; 11 great grandchildren, Mr. Pourron was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Christine Pourron; daughter-in-law Sherrie Pourron; three sisters and one brother.



Mr. Pourron was a member of the McDonalds Romeo group and loved spending morning time with these men. The family would like to especially thank Quanita, Ruby and Billy Joe of Robeson Home Care for their superior care during the last 9 months.



The family will receive friends Monday January 15, 2018 from 6 until 8:00 pm at McLaurin Funeral Home and at other times at his home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Transitions Life Care, 250 Hospice Cir, Raleigh, NC 27607.
