Louise Ann (Zann) Lynch Quirk passed away on May 13, 2016. Louise was born on May 9, 1928 to Peter and Susanne Lynch in Dubuque, Iowa. Louise went to St. Patrick's Grade School and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy High School in 1946. She went on to earn her 4 year nursing degree at Loras College graduating in 1950. She completed her nursing training at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa. She married Tom Quirk in 1955 which brought her to Fort Wayne. Louise was active in St. Charles Parish and School Board, sang in the choir. She was a member of the Marians and active volunteer at Matthew 25 for 20 years, the St. Patrick's Health Clinic and ASK Ministries for many years. She worked at American Red Cross. Life long member of the Democratic Party. Louise enjoyed playing tennis, bridge and golf. Louise loved being on the water from spending time on the Mississippi River to spending time at the family Lake Cottage in northern Indiana. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Louise is survived by her husband of 60 years, Tom Quirk, four children, Sarah, Grand Rapids, MI., Mike (Carol) Fort Wayne, Jeremy (Elaine) Cleveland, TN, Amy (Bill Ziegert) Zionsville, IN. Four grandchildren: Emily Winchester (Zack), James (Katie) Quirk, Hailey Ziegert (Stuart King) and Will Ziegert. Four great grand children, Isaac and Oliver Winchester, Riley and Charlotte King Along with many nieces and nephews.
Proceeded in death by brothers, William, Elmer, Peter, Richard (Looper) and sisters, Monnie and Catherine (Kay). Funeral Service is 11am, Saturday May 21, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church 1101 Lafayette St. Fort Wayne, IN 46802 with calling 90 minutes prior. Memorials may be made to Fort Wayne Catholic Charities, Adoption Services or Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
