Louise (Lotts) Wood, 96, of Staunton passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at her home.

Born April 9, 1920 in Staunton, she was the daughter of the late Amos Floyd and Florence Dennett (Collins) Lotts.

Louise was a member of First Baptist Church, Staunton, and in previous years had sung in the choir and taught Sunday School. She was employed by Western State Hospital for 27 faithful years where she worked in the Building and Grounds Department until she retired. Louise enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh Glenn Wood; twin brother, John Lotts; and a great granddaughter, Haley Campbell.

Survivors include her four loving children, John Arthur and wife, Frances Hale of Staunton, Daniel Arthur and wife, Pamela Glovier of Eagle River, Alaska, Rev. Robert Wood and wife, Sherrie Long of Staunton and Rev. Sarah Lee and husband, Rev. Sean of Maryland; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 18 W. Frederick St., Staunton with Chaplain Murphy Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 18 W. Frederick St., Staunton.
