Louise Thelma Fotes was born on September 1, 1917 in Fresno, CA and passed away peacefully in Fresno, CA on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Louise was the youngest of eight children of John and Mary Gennuso. She attended Edison High School, graduating in 1934. Louise married the love of her life, John James Fotes, becoming proud parents of Patti Fotes and James Fotes.

Louise was known for her delicious spaghetti sauce, social gatherings and passion for dancing. She was fond of serving raviolis or spaghetti and meatballs smothered in her sauce, and for breakfast making fried eggs. Her fried egg was so popular that neighbors would bring their eggs over for Louise to cook. For several years she hosted Christmas Eve parties for neighbors, friends and family. If you couldn't find her in the kitchen, then she was probably dancing at the Rainbow Ballroom where she danced her way into the arms of her husband John. They were married for 24 years.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings.
She is survived by Patti Fotes of San Jose, CA, James Fotes and his wife Janet of Clovis, CA, grandchildren Taylor Strong, her husband Brandon, great-grandson Holden (with another on the way), Sia Hubman, her husband Neal, and great-granddaughter Sawyer.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Queen of Apostles, 4636 W Dakota, Fresno, CA.
Remembrances may be made to the EMC SPCA, P.O. Box 1314, Oakhurst, CA 93644, in loving memory of Louise Fotes, or to your favorite charity.
