Lucille Lonergan Geiser, 100, passed away on September 2, 2017 at Renaissance Gardens at the Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville. She was born on April 17, 1917 to the late John D. Lonergan and Willa Carman Lonergan. Lucille grew up in Pennsylvania, graduating from University of Pittsburgh with a teaching degree. While attending Pitt, she met her husband-to-be, Roy D. Geiser, and they were married on July 22, 1942. They had three children, John, Louis and Lucille. In 1953, Roy preceded her in death. With the help of her mother Willa (known to all as "Nana"), Lucille raised her three children in Catonsville, where the family were members of St. Mark's Catholic Church. Mrs. Geiser was a teacher at Catonsville Elementary School for 22 years, retiring in 1978. After her retirement, Mrs. Geiser enjoyed travel, participating in numerous bridge clubs and enjoying family gatherings, locally and in Pennsylvania.

Lucille Geiser is survived by her three children: John K. Geiser and his wife, Carmen, of Salisbury, Md; Louis E. Geiser, and his wife, Sheila, of Marriottsville, Md; and Lucille G. Tyler and her husband, Steve, of Severna Park, Md. Also surviving are six grandchildren and their spouses, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Following visitation with the family at 10:30 a.m., a memorial service will be held on September 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels chapel on the Charlestown Community campus. Interment with her husband and parents in Ridgeway, PA will follow at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to be made in her name to the charity of the donors' choice.
