Lucy O Ricondo
Devoted Mother and

Lucy O Ricondo, 81, died Friday, Jan. 19, at her San Antonio home with her family by her side.
Lucy was born Oct. 26, 1936, in Lockhart, TX, to Juan Ontiveros Sr. and Margarita Ibarra Gonzalez.
Lucy attended Lanier high school in 1953. She later traveled to Chicago with her family in the early 60's. After a few years, she and her family moved back to San Antonio where she then raised her family and started her career in the restaurant business with her mother.
She then opened her first restaurant, El Patio, on Medina St. She would relocate the business to West Avenue where she operated for 35 years. Lucy had many loyal customers who would become the day to day regulars who she loved to visit with. Many family members were employed at El Patio which made the restaurant feel like home and gave a presence of love.
Lucy worked hard every day of her life and cooked with so much love until retiring in 2004. She then resided at home where her daughter, Sandra Morgan, took care of her until her passing. She was able to enjoy her last years watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.
Lucy was also an avid sports fan and a devoted Spurs and Cowboys fan. She never missed a game and was full of excitement as she cheered her teams on. She also attended all her granddaughter's sports games throughout her middle school and high school career.
Lucy is survived by her children, Ernestine Cortes, Louis A. Cortes (son-in-law), Patricia Ricondo, Sandra Morgan, and Rodolfo Ricondo Jr.; 4 grandchildren, Siabhan White, Hugh White, Andrea Morgan, and Anthony Menchaca; 6 great grandchildren, Anthony Garcia, Gia Menchaca, Sydney White, Gavin Menchaca, Milo White, and Meadow Menchaca; brothers Dario Ontiveros and Nicolas Longoria, sisters Margie Alvarez and Esperanza Ontiveros, and many many friends.
She was proceded in death by her brothers Juan Ontiveros Jr., Severiano Ontiveros, Frank Ontiveros, Jesse Ontiveros, and sister Rebecca Morales. A visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 28, from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm with Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening at the Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. Funeral mass will be held Monday, Jan. 29, at 1:00 pm at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 600 Oblate Dr. San Antonio, TX 78216, where we will then proceed to Sunset Memorial Park for the burial services.
Lucy will be very missed and we the family would be honored for all to join us in honoring her beautiful spirit. May she rest in peace with love in her heart.
