Mrs. Lynda Sue Jacobs Chase passed away Friday, November 3, 2017, in Nacogdoches, Texas, at the age of 72.

She was born January 9, 1945, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to parents Donald Weaver Jacobs and Bessie Dimple Pigg Jacobs. Mrs. Chase was a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana, for a while before returning to Nacogdoches several years ago.

Lynda was a faithful Christian lady and was an active member of Goyens Hill Baptist Church. While living in Shreveport, she was active with Broad Acres Baptist Church and worked in the children's department. She had worked 20 years with Nacogdoches Answering Service.

She loved cooking and taking care of her family. Mrs. Chase also had enjoyed writing poetry, for which she received accolades and awards.

Her survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald Edward and Laura Chase of Pasadena, Texas, and Michael Glenn and Kizzie (Patton) Chase of Nacogdoches, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Angela Darlene and Billy Espinoza of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Alisha Lynn and Jeff Willoughby of Nacogdoches, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Bob Guttenberger of Bay City, Texas; grandchildren, Teresa Chase of Douglasville, Georgia, Matthew Grover of Deluth, Minnesota, Ashley Morales, Andrew Hornbuckle, Cecily Cordero, and Kayla Espinoza, all of Nacogdoches, Texas; and great-granddaughters, Norma Isabella Ashlynn Morales, Bella Joyce Almeida, and Alaia Linda Almeida.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Fairview Cemetery, located at 6360 E. Main Street, Nacogdoches. Officiating will be Bro. Terry Quinn.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel. Family and friends will then travel in procession to Fairview Cemetery for the service.

Pallbearers: Michael Chase, Andrew Hornbuckle, Caleb Quinn, Terry Quinn, and Lono Russell. Ronald Chase and Billy Espinoza will be honorary pallbearers.
