Long time Abilene resident, Mable Jean Robertson went to be with her Lord on July 21, 2017. Visitation will be held from 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. Funeral services will be 10:00a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the funeral home with burial following in Ft. Phantom Hill Cemetery.
Mable was born July 6, 1929 in Hawley, TX. She married A.G. Robertson on September 7, 1944. Mable lived the last nine years at Whitestone Assisted Living in Comanche, TX. She loved her time at Whitestone and all of the residents became an extended part of her family. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Mable was a faithful member of The Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents; seven of her siblings; her husband, A.G. Robertson; and youngest daughter, Judy Brcka.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Ratliff and husband, Charles; and her son, A.G. Robertson, Jr. and wife, Kay; two brothers: Jim Chittum and George Chittum; a sister in law: Idi Mae Arey; grandchildren: Tony Robertson, Mandie Thomasson, Misti Cox, and Bridgett Brcka; great-grandchildren: Brandon Thomasson, Amber Robertson, Bailey Thomasson, Coral Robertson, Lily Liggins, and Leland Liggins; great-great-grandchildren: Cadence and Gunner Nixon and soon to be born, Rhen Rudolph; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express special thanks for all the love, assistance and prayers from so many during Mable's final days.
