Mae Ann Harrell, age 70, passed away November 14, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Mae Ann was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to Hezekiah and Bernice (Burke) Ramer. She was very close to her five siblings, spending many a Sunday afternoon together visiting, laughing and cutting up. All who knew Mae Ann could attest to her very witty and quick sense of humor and her ability to make you smile. Mae Ann loved unconditionally and was a very generous and caring person. No matter what the need, you could always count on her to lend a helping hand. On August 4, 1972, she married the love of her life, Floyd C. “Dan” Harrell. They travelled countless miles enjoying each other’s company throughout their 41 years of marriage. When Mae Ann wasn’t dancing, cheating at cards, organizing some type of fun activity or searching out a new cow chatzky to add to her ever growing collection, she enjoyed spending some quiet time reading, taking long walks through the countryside and loving on her dogs. Her greatest and most cherished activity; however, was spending as much time as possible with her family – especially her grandchildren. Mae Ann was a devoted, loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She will always be on our minds and forever in our hearts.

Preceding Mae Ann in death were her parents, Hezekiah and Bernice Ramer; husband, Floyd C. “Dan” Harrell; daughter, Tracy Harrell; brother, Jim Ramer and granddaughter, Joy Harrell. Those left to celebrate her life are her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Elizabeth Harrell of Forney; daughter, Teresa Harrell of Terrell; sisters, Mary Lou Warren and Donna Etheridge; brothers, Jerry and Ernie Ramer; grandchildren, Daniel Harrell, Brandon Harrell, Chaylee Harrell, Travis Stoner, Trevor Harrell, Jessika Roberts and Riley Roberts; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be 3pm Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Terrell with burial to follow in the Ables Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1pm to 3pm at the funeral home.
