Mae Elizabeth Fain Huskey, age 88, of Sevierville passed away Monday, September 23, 2013. Mrs. Huskey was born November 24, 1924 in the Dandridge community where she spent her childhood and developed a strong work ethic which she kept throughout her life. She spent most of her life in Sevier County working in the hospitality industry for decades. She worked in several restaurants, including the Lamplighter, Appletree Inn and and Tommy's restaurant. Her personality and good sense of humor garnered her a loyal following of both local customers and visitors to the area that came day after day, year after year and asked specifically for Mae to be their waitress. She formed bonds and friendships that lasted her throughout her lifetime. Although she lived a simple life she always had an abundance of friends and laughter that surrounded her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Huskey, infant daughter Evelyn and grandson Keith Huskey. She is survived by: Sons: Jack Huskey, Jerry Huskey and wife Jennifer Sisters, brothers, grandchildren and great-grandchildren A special thanks to all the staff at Mountain Brook Village who have worked for years to help care for Mae. In lieu of flowers please, make donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 or Sevier County Humane Society, P.O. Box 976, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee 37868 Family and friends will meet 1 PM Friday in Middle Creek Cemetery for graveside service and interment with Rev. Bill Black officiating.
