Mrs. Magnolia (Seroyer) Johnson, 96, of Reading, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 21, 2017 in Zerbe Nursing Center, Narvon.

Her life's journey began in Opelika, Alabama on July 25, 1921. Magnolia was a daughter of the late Dessie Seroyer and Bessie (Presley) Seroyer-Thomas. On May 4, 1941 in Opelika, AL, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Aaron Griffin "A.G." Johnson. The couple shared 39 years of marriage before A.G. passed in 1980.

Magnolia accepted Christ at an early age. Her deep devotion to her family and friends was evident through her conversations, delicious meals and willingness to travel any distance to be with those she loved.

Left behind to cherish her memory are two sons: Dr. Robert Johnson and his wife, Helen G. of Rockville, MD and Griff Johnson and his companion, Rose Symington of Exeter Twp; a daughter: Dorothy Mae Johnson-Aughtry and her companion, Horace "Ace" Aughtry of Reading; a granddaughter: Michone Johnson- Ingraham and her husband, George of Chevy Chase, MD; a great granddaughter: Alexa C. Ingraham of Chevy Chase, MD and two sisters: Georgia Mae (Thomas) Boyd and her husband, Kenneth of Syracuse, NY and Yvonne (Thomas) Hodge and her husband, Elroy of Rochester, NY.

Also surviving are three sisters-in-law Mavis Melton, Margaret Fears and Armetta Johnson, her beloved nephew: Jesse Seroyer, Jr. and his wife, Novelette all of Opelika, AL; supportive niece: Mary (Johnson) Tyson, wife of the late Kenneth Tyson of Reading; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband; Magnolia is predeceased by four siblings: Charlie Seroyer, Nell Morgan, Jesse Seroyer, Sr. and John Seroyer.

Home Going services for Magnolia will commence promptly at 11am on Wednesday, Septemebr 27, 2017 in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Public viewing will be in the funeral home Wednesday from 10am until the time of service. Magnolia will be laid to rest beside her cherished husband, A.G. in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
