Malachi John Meeker Obituary

HOPEDALE ~ Malachi John Meeker, infant son of Jeremy and Andrea (McMullin) Meeker, passed away at 5:02 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Malachi was born earlier that day at 3:07 p.m. at St. Francis.

Surviving are his parents of Hopedale; four siblings, Julia Joy, Carolyn Jane, Simeon Robert and Lydia Gayle; his grandparents, Carl Meeker of Manito and Anita Meeker of Peoria and great-grandparents, Paul and Donna Meeker of Manito and Bob and Grace Larson of Manito. He also leaves five aunts and uncles, MariNelle (Ron) Poehlmann of Houstonia, Missouri, Susan Von Gretzinger of Warrensburg, Missouri, Andrew (Abby) McMullin of Houstonia, Missouri, Christopher (KayLynn) Meeker of Germany and Holly (James) Krus of Peoria along with many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Claude McMullin, Linda Richardson and Nancy Meeker.

His private graveside funeral will be Friday, August 21, 2020, at Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
