A Celebration of Life service for Mamie Edna Warren Cochran will be held Monday at 10 am at Scooba United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Williams conducting the service. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Our beloved Mom and Meme was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 3rd.
Born March 19, 1922 to the late Marcus Clyde and Birdie Lake Warren she will be remembered as a beautiful lady, inside and out. She was an active member of Scooba United Methodist Church, a member of the Scooba Club Kemper County Homemakers and an excellent seamstress. She loved to travel and often she said that her middle name was "go". Her joy was to spend time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by many including nieces, nephews and friends that she counted as family.
Mrs. Cochran is survived by her children Kenneth Cochran and wife Sharon of League City, TX, Sandra Smith and husband Danny of Bulverde, TX, Jaquelyn Sparkman and husband Dansel of Scooba and Vicki Lamberth and husband Bobby of Bedias, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren Bret Cochran of Bew Braunfels, TX, Angie Cochran of Hempstead, TX, Clay Jeffers of New Braunfels, TX, Ashley Brandon of Deer Park, TX, Matt Jeffers of Truth or Consequences, NM, Shelli Eldridge of Dekalb, MS, Carrie Borders of Meridian, Lacey Adair of Anderson, TX and Hilary Kessler of Bryan, TX along with eighteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, S. Keith Cochran; sisters Catherine Ray and Clyde Jones; brothers Marcus Warren, Edwin Warren and Clifton Warren.
Those serving as pallbearers include Dalton Thomas, Cole Thomas, Brody Thomas, Chris Brandon, Hansel Sparkman and Clay Jeffers.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
