Margaret Dickison, age 93, lived most of her life in Dingmans Ferry. She peacefully passed on Thursday, Dec. 7, at Slatebelt Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Harold Dickison, who she married in 1950.

Marge was born in Brooklyn, New York, on Sept. 16, 1924, to William and Margaret McDonald Hunt. Her brothers were Robert Hunt and William Hunt. She is survived by sisters, Charlotte Hunt of Eustis, Florida, and Vange Esmer of Toms River, New Jersey. Also daughter, Laura Bezos and her husband, Raul, of The Villages, Florida; son, Charles and his wife, Margo, of Silver Spring, Maryland; and son, Steve, residing in Silver Spring, Maryland. Also two granddaughters, Kaitlin and Ariel; and several nieces and nephews.

She had worked at Sylvania in New York, and later as a seamstress at Ardmore in Port Jervis, New York. She spent most of her time as a mother and wife - she was known for her pies, knitting, and needlework.

The family sends their appreciation to Slatebelt Nursing Home for the care the staff provided for Marge over the last five years, and for the consideration they showed to the family in Marge's last days. Saint Luke's Hospice supported Marge for over four years, providing loving care for her and her family. A special thank you to Cettina for the special care she provided to Marge on a daily basis. Another thank you to the aides from Slate Belt Home Care who came to spend time with Marge for the last months of her life - that TLC improved the quality of her life.

A private ceremony and memorial service will take place for immediate family at a later date. The family requests donations be made to Saint Luke's Hospice or to the Salvation Army.
