Margaret Yeager Pierce, age 89, passed away June 6, 2017.

Margaret was born in Pecan Wells to Henry and Mary Perkins Yeager on February 12, 1928. She married John Pierce, Jr. in Hamilton on December 18, 1943. Over her lifetime Margaret worked numerous jobs. She was a cotton picker, waitress, cook, nurse's aide, and genealogist.
Margaret enjoyed being a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, American Legion Auxiliary, the Hamilton County Historical Commission, Hamilton County Genealogy Society, and the Hamilton Cemetery Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Pierce, her granddaughter Jonni Nell Cox, great granddaughter Katelynn Watson and great grandson Merritt Pierce, parents, and 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Margaret is survived by her three daughters Margie and husband Marvin Payne of Cranfills Gap, TX, Mary Henrietta and husband Roy Cox of Venus, TX, Bonita Cavett and husband Glen of Hamilton, TX; and one son Tom and wife Liz Pierce of Cranfills Gap, TX; two granddaughters Danette Bird and Christi Hickman and five grandsons Bobby Crabb Jason Pierce, Trent Pierce, John Michael Watson and Danny Watson, and Chuck Cavett. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild brother Toby Yeager of Brooksville TX. sisters: Martha Marie Brassie of San Angelo, TX and Betty Fulgham of Katy and Brother Kenneth Ray Yeager of Udall Kansas.
