Margaret "Peggy" Louise Byrns passed away after a short illness on Monday, April 27, 2015.

Peggy was born on September 28, 1919 to Lula and Ervin Sausman in Hancock, MN. She grew up in Meadowlands and graduated from Meadowlands High School. She was married to Francis Russell Byrns on May 20, 1938 in Northwood, IA.

They had two children, Frances Louise Byrns and Robert Harold Byrns. Together they owned and operated Byrns Lunch in Meadowlands. Later they moved to Zim and ran Byrns Produce, which became Byrns Greenhouse and Sod. Peggy also worked for the Arrow Shirt Factory in Eveleth. In 1980 Francis and Peggy retired to Emily, MN and enjoyed being part of that community.

Peggy enjoyed traveling with Louise and keeping up on the Minnesota Twins, whom she saw play in all three of their stadiums.

There is so much to say about a full life of 95 years, it is impossible to capture all that Peggy was to her family, friends and community.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Francis (1991) of 53 years.

She will be missed so very much by her children, Louise Byrns and Robert (Patricia) Byrns, as well as granddaughters, Barbara (Paul) Liebenstein of Dundas, MN and Deborah (Todd) Erickson of Zim. Her great-grandchildren, Grace Liebenstein, Mary Liebenstein, Ezekiel Erickson and Isaac Erickson knew their great-grandmother well and she was very proud of all of them.

Visitation: 12 Noon until the 1p.m. Funeral Service Friday, May 1st in the Meadowlands Community Center, 7758 Western Ave, Meadowlands, MN. Interment will be in the Meadowlands Cemetery.
