Margaret Mary Lesh, 69, of East Stroudsburg had been promoted to Glory on Monday, December 26, 2016. She passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord with her loving family by her side. She was the loving wife of Ronald G. Lesh with whom she shared 46 years of marriage.
Born August 10, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. Sr. and Grace (Hull) Counterman, of East Stroudsburg.

Maggie was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School class of 1965. She and her husband Ron were devoted members of the Salvation Army, East Stroudsburg Corps, where she worked as the Office Secretary for 30 years, retiring in 2013. Her dedication to her church and her evangelism were admirable; she was always thinking and praying for others even when she was in need of prayer. Spreading the love of God was her main goal, any opportunity she had, she lent a listening ear and a kind word of spiritual advice. Maggie was selfless, dedicated, compassionate, and kind to anyone who crossed her path. From cards in the mail, a prayer request, or a short phone call, she was always checking up on everyone to make sure that their needs were met and for that we are forever grateful. She was a truly amazing woman who will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Ronald G. Lesh, of East Stroudsburg; Children: Jayne Marquet and her husband Dave, of East Bangor; Jason Lesh and his wife Stephanie, of Pocono Summit; Her grandchildren: Emily, Riley, David and William, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she had been preceded in death by her brothers: Frank H. Counterman Jr., Ellis Allen Counterman, and her infant brother: John Counterman.

The promotion to glory service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 12 noon at The Salvation Army, 226 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301 with Major James A. Gingrich officiating. Friends and family are welcome to gather for a public visitation beginning at 11 am, prior the service. Cremation will follow.
