Margie Ann Millar left us too soon at the age of 81 in her daughter’s home in Seagoville, TX on December 30, 2017. She was surrounded by her four loving children. Margie was preceded in death by her mother, Imogene Daniel of Mesquite, TX, and her husband Joe Riddle of Greenville, TX. Margie is survived by her four children: Mrs. Pat Jousan of Seagoville, TX, Mrs. Wendy Campbell and Mike Turner of Seagoville, TX, Miss Susan Medizadeh of Mesquite, TX, and Wayne Riddle of Seagoville, TX. Margie, or GranMarge as she was known, is survived by her grandchildren, Natalie Hudnall, Jessica Campbell, Justin Jousan, and Benjamin Jousan. There were also great grandchildren to enjoy. Ian Hudnall, Sam Hudnall, Aiden Bebout, Austin Bebout, Jackson Jousan, Roxanna Jousan, Rylee Turner, and Hailey Turner. Margie also is survived by her long time companion Lawrence Reed of Dallas, TX.

A life long lover of animals, Margie volunteered at the Dallas chapter of the SPCA. She also volunteered at The Family Place Thrift Store that assists abused women with children to set up new, safe homes. Margie was a natural poet whose poem about a Texas Bluebonnet was given a letter of special commendation by the then Governor of Texas, Ann Richards.

Always hardworking and selfless, Margie provided care and support to those around her. She succumbed to the insidious disease known as Alzheimer’s. But even the devastating effects of that disease could not change her sweetness and caring spirit. Per her request, donations should be made to either the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, or the SPCA in lieu of flowers. There will be a private graveside burial in the Rockwall Memorial Cemetery where she will be placed next to her beloved mother.
