Margie Martin, age 89, of Fresno CA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. Margie was born on December 15,1927 to Louis Merrill Kilner and Martha Sunshine Kilner.

Margie attended Fresno High School, graduating in 1945. She went on to attend Four C's Business College, then went to work for her father's stationery store, Kilner's Stationery, in Fresno CA. Margie volunteered in the Fresno First Baptist Church canteen during the WWII years. Margie met George Martin after World War II, at The First Baptist Church, and they were married six months later on April 28,1948. Margie and George enjoyed 58 years of marriage and had four children and traveled the world. Margie was very active at Fresno First Baptist Church where she taught the 4 year old's sunday school class for over 40 years. Margie also had an interest in politics and wrote numerous published articles to The Fresno Bee. Margie moved to Santa Cruz in 2007 to live close to her daughter. She resided in the small community of Corralitos in Santa Cruz County for 10 years. There she became involved with Twin Lakes Baptist Church, making their visitor gift bags and attending women's bible study. Margie's loves were her family cabin, at Huntington Lake, where the family spent many fun summers, oil and watercolor painting, traveling, gardening, and most importantly her children.

Margie has four children, seven counting the son and daughter in laws; Bradley Martin (deceased), Marjean Martin Enmark (Nelson Enmark), Lindsey Mauldin (Patrick Mauldin), Glenn Martin (Celita Martin). She has 8 wonderful grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Margie opened her home to her children's friends as they were growing up, and welcomed them for many a meal. She loved the Lord and her family very much. Margie was truly loved by many and will be missed.

A graveside service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial Service will follow at Fresno First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m.
Reception afterward at Marjean Enmark's home.
