Marguerite Charlotte De Ragisch, 95, of Peoria passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.
Born July 17, 1922 in Dijion, France to Charles and Jeanne (Loury) Maume; she married Edward De Ragisch on January 10, 1946 in New York. The two had met in France during WWII and she traveled to New York with her young daughter to join Edward. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1986 in Peoria.
Also preceding in death were her daughter, Jocelyne Worden; her brother, Charles; her sister, Marie and her great-great granddaughter, Morgan Cochran.
Surviving are her grandchildren, Mary Worden of Poplar Bluff, MO, Francis Worden of Aurora, CO, Monica Worden of Beaumont, TX, Anita (Steve) Colter of Florissant, MO, Steve Worden of Denver, CO, Teresa Young of Peoria Heights, Mike (Linda) Worden of Mooseheart, IL, and John Worden of Poplar Bluff; twelve great grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren.
Marguerite loved flowers and gardening. She and her husband raised African Violets and sold them to area florists for many years. She was a very strong and hard working woman who loved her family. She remained independent and living at home through many struggles in the last few years.
She also loved Faith Missionary Church in Bartonville where she was a member and her church family.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday, December 11, 2017 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with Rev. Craig Hislope officiating. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Marguerite requested memorials be made to the Faith Missionary Church Building Fund.
