Marguerite Dittfurth, 92, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 22 at her home with her family by her side.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 27 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in College Station with Reverend Michael Hafer officiating. Interment will follow at Kurten Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Marguerite was born February 21, 1925 in Kurten the daughter of David and Hulda (Seeman) Metzer. She enjoyed playing the piano for Bethel Lutheran Church Sunday School Classes. And later was the church organist for Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church for many years. Marguerite loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and had a special unconditional love for each of her grandchildren.
Marguerite is preceded in death by her parents, David and Hulda Metzer; husband, Victor Dittfurth; son, Harold Dittfurth; brother, Harold Metzer; and a sister, Ruth Raesener.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia Rice, LaNell and Dan German; sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene Cargill, Florence and Don Ballard, Ethel and Hugo Endler; grandchildren and their spouses, Kate and Ron Svedersky, Sharon Parks and Ron Thompson, Karen and Jeremy Wallace, Amy and Mart Kobuck, Pamela and T.J. Thompson, Travis and Agata Dittfurth, Amanda Dittfurth, Lauren and Joseph Barron, Michelle Dittfurth, Beau Dittfurth, Brian and Emily German and Hillary and Mike Yoemans; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
