Marguerite Mary Luper my beautiful, ageless mother was called to heaven on January 26, 2017.

Marguerite was born on August 17, 1926 in the Bronx, New York to Therese & Francis McLaughlin. Born with a cleft pallet, she came into this world fighting for her life and continued fighting.scarlet fever, pneumonia and other diseases that most children at that time never survived (including her 3 year old sister Elaine).

My father George C. Luper saw her picture from a fellow navy man my mom was writing to during WW2 and started writing to her as well.

During his service, my dad appeared on her doorstep and told her he was going to marry her, she thought he was crazy! One month later they married and remained married for 25 years until my father's death in 1971.

They moved to Valley Cottage to raise their family. So caring and loving with three small girls at the time, my mom and dad went to the Children's home and fostered three sisters Ruth, Carolyn and Jean Cadwallader to add to their growing family!

Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband George Charles Luper, grandson George Will, parents Therese & Francis McLaughlin and siblings Elaine, Francis and Gwen. Marguerite was the youngest child.

Marguerite was mom to everyone and she was blessed with many artistic talents including drawing, painting, sewing, cooking and baking! But most of all.mom was patient!

Marguerite is survived by her daughters Carol Litchhult, Barbara Will, Dianne Johnson, Patti Ward, Carolyn Lambrous, Ruth Meszaros, and her grandchildren Michael Luper, Tara Outson, Courtney Litchhult, Tyler Litchhult, Faith Ward, Ron Ward, Stacy Abdul, Irena Lambrous, Nick Lmbrous, Elaine Meszaros, Evan Meszaros, Julia Meszaros (deceased), 10 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

She kept everyone of us in her prayers till the day she passed, please keep her in yours. May we always remember her smile, her humor and her love.
