Maria Martha DeOchoa Barron

1932-2017

Maria Martha Barron, 85, of Houston, Texas passed peacefully on September 28th surrounded by her family that loved her so much. Maria was born in Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and was the oldest of nine children. On June 30,1957, Maria married the love of her life, Roberto Medina Barron and raised her six children. Maria was a kind, loving and generous woman who had a strong faith in God. Her greatest joy came in her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, and cooking for family gatherings. (tamales, menudo, gorditas de azucar, capirotada, caldos, etc.)



Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Calixto Perez and Emma Leal De Leon; husband, Roberto M. Barron; daughter in laws, Diamond Barron and Mildred Barron; grandson Daniel Barron; siblings, Jose Euseveo, Maurilio, and Guadalupe.



Maria is survived by her children Roberto O. Barron, Paul Samaniego and wife, Linda, John Barron, Rosalinda Barron, Martha E. Adame and husband Jon, Baldemar Barron and wife Adriana, Baldemirna (Myrna) Alonzo and husband Robert. Maria was blessed with nineteen grandchildren Robert and wife Tracy, Cynthia, Isaac, Chrissy, Danny, Donovan, Megan, Madisen, Mya, Lauren, Kristin and husband James, Malachi and wife Megan, Josh, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Iliana, Luke, Jessica, and John; great-grandchildren Matthew, Mya, Brandon, Nehemiah, and Ariella; siblings Yolanda, Ana Maria, Maria Vicenta, Eulalio, Maria Del Carmen.



Her greatest legacy that we will always remember was her desire to live and never give up.





Visitation will be held at 5-9 PM with a Rosary service beginning at 7 PM, Tuesday October 3rd at Crespo Funeral Home, 2516 Navigation Blvd.



The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2405 Navigation on Wednesday, Oct. 4th, Mass at 10am, burial will follow.
