Marie D. Otis, 78, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Robert L. Otis, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at her home. Born in Bridgeport to the late Robert and Marie (Lund) Douglas, she has been a Windsor resident for most of her life. Marie was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed sewing and often made her own clothing, but she was most proud of her two sons who meant the world to her. Marie is survived by her sons, David R. Otis and his wife Amy of Palm Harbor, FL and Robert A. Otis of Windsor; her brother Robert Douglas and his wife Gerry of Venice, FL; her cousins Shirley Muter of New Britain and Jim Sullivan and his son Joseph, of Plantsville. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 6 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave Windsor. Burial will be private in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St. Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
