Marie T. Martorana, 88, of Spring Hill passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph and Maria Maggio. Upon retirement She and her husband Sal moved to Florida from Farmingdale, NY in 1990.

Marie was a wonderful, loving, wife and mother, who always put her family's needs ahead of her own. She loved going to Atlantic City and playing the slot machines and also enjoyed playing Mahjong. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends, whether she was having a cup of coffee or dancing at a wedding. She was good with financials and worked for the Farmingdale School District first as a bookkeeper and then as a Financial Auditor.

She was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, and then attended services at Good Shepard Chapel in Crown Pointe.

Marie will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Salvatore V. Martorana; her daughter Carol A. Martorana; and her partner Diane J. Salvatore; sister-in-law Phyllis Scali and Julianne Maggio; nephews Anthony Scali and Jonathan Maggio; nieces Diane DeRosa and Danielle Reilly.

~ Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. ~ Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. at St. Kilians RC Church, 485 Conklin Street, Farmingdale, New York 11735 ~ Interment to follow to St. Charles Cemetery, Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York 11735 ~
