Marilyn Jean (nee Daly) Germann, 76, of Smithton, Illinois, born, November 24, 1941, in East Saint Louis, Illinois, passed away, January 23, 2018 in Smithton, Illinois.

Marilyn was a jewel to all who knew and loved her. She was raised in Collinsville, Illinois, where she met the love of her life, Lawrence Germann. The two were married on September 2, 1961, and to this beautiful union brought 3 children; Larry, Randall and Michelle. Marilyn possessed a caring, supportive and compassionate persona. She was outgoing, loving and never met a stranger. Marilyn could lend an ear or a helping hand to anyone that she came in contact with. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will truly be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Michael and Myrtle (nee Lee) Daly, and her brothers; Donald Daly and Ronald Daly.

Surviving her are her devoted husband of 56 years; Lawrence E. Germann, of Smithton, IL, her children; Larry (Jeanette) Germann, of Yukon, OK, Randall (Amy) Germann, of Rogers, AR, and Michelle (Daniel) Isacson, of South Elgin, IL, her grandchildren; Dennis (Lilly) Germann, Christopher (McKenzie) Germann, Gregory Germann, Conor Germann, Kylie Germann and Madelyn Isacson; her great-grandchildren, Payton and Eloise Germann; her brother, Richard (Marilyn) Daly and a number of dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends and family may visit from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, Monday, January 29, 2018, at Lake View Funeral Home. 5000 N Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, Illinois 62208.

Funeral Service: Funeral Services will be held the following day at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Lake View Funeral Home. Interment to take place at Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, in Smithton, IL at 6:30 PM on January 30, 2018
