Marilyn Margaret Love of The Colony, Texas passed away Monday, October 09, 2017. Marilyn Margaret Adams was born Tuesday, November 08, 1938 in Houston, Texas to Roy Adams and Genevieve Hanisch. She was the oldest of six sisters; Marilyn, Geraldine, Natalie, Sybil, Carolyn, and Cindy.

Marilyn grew up in Wharton, Texas as a very responsible and loving child. She was often referred to as "Marin" by her loved ones and friends. She was a sweet, kind, and comapassionate girl.

On Saturday, April 07, 1956, Marilyn married the man of her dreams, James Love, in Houton, Texas. The two shared 57 beautiful years together before James' untimely passing, in 2013. The couple raised two adorable and loving daughters, Toni and Michelle Love. Their marriage brought them much happiness, but the brightest spot in their years together was welcoming their six grand children; Brad, Brandon, Trey, Jason, Stephanie, and Rachele. They had the "icing on their cake" when they welcomed four great-grandchildren into this world; Darrian, Mikaylah, Blake, and Preston.

Marilyn's family and friends knew that the BEST Christmas cookies and chocolate pie came from her. She loved gardening, flowers, praying, and most of all spending time with family. Her favorite music was Country and her favorite movie genre was Western. Her most cherished place to be was Waller, Texas because that is where she was able to spend time with her beloved children and grandchildren.

Marilyn was a woman of faith and a life-long practicing Catholic. She was a Eucharistic Minister and enjoyed being involved in Church functions. A few cultural traditions she enjoyed were Wurtfest in New Braunfels, Texas and church Bazaars.

If you had the pleasure of knowing Marin, you had the joy of knowing a beautiful soul and you know how dearly she will be missed by family and friends.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents: Roy Adams and Genevieve Hanisch; and her adoring husband: James Love.

Marilyn will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her children: Toni (Steve) Brawner and Michele Matthews; grandchildren: Brad (Linzi) Brawner,
Brandon Brawner, Stephanie Brawner, Rachele (Ray) Ellisor, Trey Matthews, and Jason Matthews; great-grandchildren Blayke Brawner, Preston Brawner, Darrian Matthews, and Mikaylah Jones; and many extended family and friends.

Arrangements under the direction of Ted Dickey West Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas.
