Funeral services will be at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street, with Rev. Gary A. Mayer presiding at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2012.

Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens.

To celebrate Marion's life friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street

Marion was born on December 16, 1931, daughter of Edward and Mary (Schroeder) McClain.

Marion married Melvin L. Arensdorf on December 19, 1947, in Dubuque, IA. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1992. Marion was a full time wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed reading and playing records with her family and singing along to country and western, old time and gospel music. Her greatest joy was spending one on one quality time with her children, she called it the "gift of time".

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Melvin L. Arensdorf, a son Melvin J. Arensdorf, a great-grandson Devin Dress and 2 brothers Edward "Sonny" McClain and Donnie K. McClain.

A Marion M. Arensdorf memorial fund has been established.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Krish, Dr. Oppert and his receptionist Carol, Dr. Hermann and Tony Heier, for their care and concern for Marion.
