Marisol ("Maria") Soledad Pla, 81, peacefully passed away on November 14, at home in Brecksville, Ohio surrounded by her family, following a brief struggle with cancer. She attended the University of Havana until immigrating to the United States shortly after the Cuban revolution. In 1962, Marisol settled in Cleveland, Ohio with her husband. She obtained her master's in music education going on to teach piano at Baldwin Wallace University and Cleveland State University until retirement. She is survived by her loving companion Forrest Collins, her brother Manuel E. Gonzalez and his husband Jose Iraola, her children Jorge Luis and Francisco Javier, her daughter in law Melissa, and her four grandchildren Chelsea, Andrew, Sierra and Morgan.
