Marjorie Dell Cason, 73, of Stuarts Draft passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at her home.

She was born April 15, 1944 in Washington, D.C.

Marjorie was a member of Piney Mountain Bible Chapel, Roseland. For over 25 years she was employed by Wendy's Family Restaurant (Tavern on the Green) where she worked as a waitress/cook and later as a Custodian Supervisor for Western Albemarle High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her African grey parrot, Abby, quilting and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her father, Milton Lee Ramsey and her mother and step-father who raised her, Madeline (Arbaugh) Robertson and George Robertson.

Survivors include her children, Michael P. Fitzgerald of Roseland, Virginia C. Fitzgerald of Stuarts Draft and Danny Lee of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Brent F. Painter, Chaz D. Fitzgerald, Brittany F. Painter and Chelsea (Fitzgerald) Rose; great grandchildren, Xavier, Ashton, Kalem, Letty, Fenix, Tyson, Blake, Baleigh, Zane, Harley, Layla and Khye; siblings, Milton Lee Ramsey and wife, Rebecca of GA, Nancy Dill of Stuarts Draft, Lindia Miller and husband, Bobby of FL and Lois Snell and husband, Victor of Waynesboro; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Thornrose Cemetery with Pastor Robert Mansfield, Jr. officiating. Anyone who plans to attend is asked to meet directly at the cemetery. There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special heartfelt thank you to the staff of Hospice of the Piedmont for the care shown to their mother during her illness.
